The Flyers Sent Down Their Leading Scorer, Because He Needs to Be More Consistent

Because a team in danger of becoming the first squad since 1941 to go its first 10 games without scoring three goals in a game needs players like Zac Rinaldo, Jay Rosehill, Michael Raffl, Adam Hall and Kris Newbury, the Flyers have sent their leading scorer, Tye McGinn, down to the Phantoms.
McGinn, not a star by any stretch, leads the Flyers in scoring… with three whole goals. But to make room for Scott Hartnell’s return, someone had to go. And it’s McGinn, again, the leading scorer– not Raffl, or Hall, who has a total of four points in his last 46 games.
What’s more strange about the demotion are the quotes from the Flyers about their poor ol’ leading scorer:
