Philadelphia Sports Fans Put on White Sox Gear and Deliver Flying Ninja Kicks to Downed Opponents

More bad behavior from Philly sports fans.

This past weekend, they went out to Rate Field in Chicago’s south side, put on White Sox colors, and beat the tar out of each other:

There is quite a bit going on here, so let’s break it down:

  1. There are about seven rows involved in this upper deck melee.
  2. The main actor is a guy in a white shirt with light brown hair, who starts 1v3 and is taken down two rows of seats.
  3. A guy wearing a black hoodie then JUMPS over the seats and tries to ninja kick white shirt, who gets a hand up just in time to deflect the attack.
  4. Hoodie delivers some quick ground and pound, a couple of hammer fists.
  5. White shirt REVERSES the position from his back, grabs hoodie, and flings him down two rows of seats.
  6. A guy wearing a #11 jersey goes after white shirt, throwing a straight right hand before he’s speared to the ground.
  7. White shirt and #11 then square up and look to exchange more blows, but a person with a short ponytail gets between them and defuses the situation.
  8. Things then calm down as the entire group then converges on some individuals to try to pull them off each other (at least I think that’s what’s going on here).
  9. White shirt has to pull his girlfriend/sister/random woman out of the scrum, not once, but twice.

The thing that stands out most about this video is the ineffectiveness of hoodies’ strikes. This guy had the upper ground and element of surprise. He delivered a jump kick, which was blocked, then some weak ground and pound before he was flung by his sweatshirt over two rows of seats. So he needs to get back in the gym and hit the weights. He thought he was tough, but ended up coming off as one of those puny hardcore kids who tries to throw cheap shots in the mosh pit.

These Philadelphia sports fans are the worst!
