Sixers add another veteran:

Reggie Jackson won a ring with the Nuggets in 2023. He turned 34 in April and went to Charlotte in the historic, six-team trade that moved Klay Thompson to Dallas and Buddy Hield to Golden State. The Sixers got a 2031 second round draft pick out of that deal.

Jackson didn’t play much during Denver’s title-run, but in the 2023-2024 regular season he appeared 82 times, starting 23 games and averaging 22.2 minutes a night. A 6th-man type role. He finished with 10.2 points, 3.8 assists, and shot 43.1% from the field and 35.9% from three – numbers both higher than his career averages. He’ll be another veteran ball handling option on a team that also has Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon on minimums. Jackson played with Paul George in Los Angeles and will join a back court that includes Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre, Gordon, Lowry, and Jared McCain. It’ll be interesting to see how that group shakes out. Can McCain contribute as a rookie? Who among Jackson, Gordon, and Lowry earns the most minutes? Good questions to have as we inch closer to a new season.

Also worth pointing out that Jackson has the best Philly eyewear since Vance Worley played here:
