And there it is:

Man, these guys totally stink. They’re 34-47 with the second-highest payroll in Major League Baseball. They can’t hit, can’t pitch, can’t field, and can’t get fans into the stadium. The fire sale should take place over the next several weeks. We’ll give you Andrew Painter for Huascar Brazoban, Luke Weaver, Carson Benge, and Juan Soto on a restructured deal. Who says no? Somebody get David Stearns on line 1.

The Mets should have fired Mendoza when the Phillies fired Topper. They were both 9-19 in April. One club got serious about sending a message and the other decided to stay the course. Look where they’re at now.

We are laughing at the Mets.
