Let’s get it back to basketball with some Sixers news:
Tacko Fall? He hasn’t played in the NBA since 2022, but the blurb in the press release says this:
Fall posted averages of 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 18.1 minutes over four seasons with the Ningbo Rockets (2025-26), Nanjing Tongxi Monkey King (2024-25), New Zealand Breakers (2024-25), Nanjing Tongxi Monkey King (2023-24), and Xinjiang Guanghui (2022-23). The Senegal native has appeared in 37 NBA games in parts of three seasons with Cleveland (2021-22) and Boston (2019-21), averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 6.1 minutes.
Ah yes, “Nanjing Tongxi Monkey King.” One of the greatest basketball organizations on the planet. That’s the team J. Cole suited up for when he played eight minutes and put up 0 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist back in April.
The conspiracy theorist would say that the Sixers are lining up Tacko Fall for the 2027 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. They will need somebody to come off the bench for 5-6 minutes to stand over Wemby, and stifle him. Then Joel Embiid returns after getting a breather. The Sixers deploy this strategy to full effect en route to a 4-0 sweep and a lifting of the Larry O’Brien trophy. They go fo fo fo to become “world fucking champions.”
As for Jameer Nelson’s son, he’s 25 now:
Nelson Jr. appeared in 25 games last season with the Stockton Kings, averaging 18.9 points on 47.5-percent shooting, 3.4 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 25.3 minutes. In his first G League season with the Austin Spurs (2024-25), he averaged 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 17.6 minutes in 42 contests. He also spent the previous two seasons playing in international action, averaging 17.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.1 steals, and 27.5 minutes in 58 games with Osos de Manati, Beijing BeiKong, Piratas de Quebradillas (2025-26), and Calgary Surge (2024-25).
These are reportedly Exhibit 10 contracts, which are basically non-guaranteed one-year minimum deals to get guys into training camp or Summer League.
