Now You Can Listen to WIP’s Insufferable Bullshit on Satellite Radio

People kept sending us this story on Monday, and honestly, we weren’t going to post it. You tell me if this even matters, from the SiriusXM website:
SiriusXM is adding 42 of Audacy’s leading sports, news, and talk stations to its already unmatched audio lineup.
Starting September 1, just in time for football season, SiriusXM listeners can tune in to 23 Audacy sports stations featuring trusted local sports talk, commentary, and analysis from many of the country’s most passionate sports markets.
WFAN and WIP are two of the stations, which is great for listeners! Now can they experience the thrill of Shaun Morash saying a bunch of stupid fucking bullshit while WIP calls for Nick Sirianni’s firing after Week 1. This is definitely what was missing from SiriusXM.
I’ve often said to myself, while listening to Ozzy’s Boneyard – “You know, I need a Pantera break. Let’s switch it over to WFAN to hear what Tiki Barber and a couple of idiots have to say.” And now my wishes are fulfilled! I can listen to a handful of Poison and Motley Crue cuts before changing the dial to get my fill of “is Jalen Hurts an elite quarterback?”

I am kicking the tires on a comprehensive 94 WIP moratorium for this upcoming Eagles season. No RADIO WARS, no talking about their rage bait, nothing. Just a complete blackout, for our mental health and yours. It’s nothing personal against any of the hosts, or producers, or anybody at 2400 Market; because captives sometimes show favor to their abusers. It’s Stockholm Syndrome. I just don’t know if I can survive another Eagles season with disingenuous fake take radio occupying a significant place in the Philadelphia sports ecosystem. They have the Eagles radio rights, so it can be hard to avoid WIP entirely, but we’ll give it the ole’ college try. Maybe we’ll do a weekly series reviewing an Eagles podcast instead. Or highlighting a popular YouTuber. Hmm… yes. That could be it.
