Oh, look. It’s former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski tweeting out at 2:26 pm yesterday a hot pic of himself holding that thing we all want to get our hands on:

Solid caption, too. Winning that elusive Vince Lombardi Trophy is, after all, what it’s all about. A seemingly fine, innocuous and good tweet, but…it just didn’t pop. Only five retweets? Unacceptable. So what does he do? He does what any attention-starved person would do. He waits a few minutes, goes back into the camera roll, and shoots another shot. A much more aggressive shot:

First of all, I love how he uses a different picture the second time around. Darker shade. Zoom out. More leg. Savvy. But what the fuck, Jaws? I’ve been pretty solid in setting aside my past anxieties concerning jinxes and bulletin board material leading up to this game, but there’s no need to poke the bear here. Crossing Broad sharing likely parade details? That’s a public service announcement and most certainly not a jinx. A franchise icon holding the Lombardi Trophy while proclaiming, “Coming to Philadelphia!” to get some brand building retweets so more people play golf at RiverWinds? Questionable move. I just don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze here. Predictably, the masses were less than thrilled.

It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if pays off for ‘em.
