BetRivers and Wells Fargo Center Will Unveil Sports Lounges at Flyers Home Opener

Russ Joy - October 8, 2019

The Flyers’ home opener is Wednesday night against the New Jersey Devils and there are changes abound at the Wells Fargo Center. We’ve previously covered the standing-room-only ticketsvideo game areas, and overall improvements to the Center, but this newest announcement should be of interest to anyone looking to enjoy a multitude of games on screens while watching the games below.

As part of “Transformation 2020“, Wells Fargo Center and BetRivers will unveil two new, high-tech lounges to coincide with the Flyers’ home opener.

Valerie Camillo, President of Business Operations for the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center, said of the new lounges:

We are thrilled to launch our partnership with SugarHouse, soon to be Rivers Casino and BetRivers.com, through these sport lounges which will undoubtedly elevate the game day experience at the Wells Fargo Center. Both spaces are stunning additions to what has already been the most transformative phase of our renovation project and we know our fans will be delighted with the design and experience.

The mentioning of SugarHouse’s transition to BetRivers is something we previously covered, as was Wells Fargo Center’s initial partnership with SugarHouse.

Per the official press release, Mattias Stetz, COO of Rush Street Interactive, the operator of the in-casino and online sportsbooks for SugarHouse, soon to be Rivers Casino Philadelphia expressed excitement:

We can’t wait for Philadelphia sports fans to experience these new sports lounges. We know how passionate this city is when it comes to sports and we took great care to make sure these lounges have everything guests need to watch and get in on the action as it’s happening.

Let’s take a look at the lounges and what they’ll feature.

BetRivers Launches Indiana Online Sports Betting App

Craig Dudek - October 3, 2019

BetRivers, a Rush Street Interactive property, launched its mobile sportsbook in Indiana today, becoming one of the first legal sportsbooks in the state. Through a partnership with French Lick Resort, BetRivers joins DraftKings Sportsbook Indiana as one of the two sports betting apps now live in the state.

BetRivers is poised for a big introduction to the Indiana online sports betting market with the start of meaningful playoff baseball, the return of football and the basketball season being just a few weeks away. BetRivers has already gotten a sample of what it can expect from this market as it has been operating an in-casino sportsbook in French Lick Resort since early September. Their physical sportsbook encompasses over 3,000 feet of the casino floor and features a pair of state-of-the-art 14 feet long by 8 feet high video walls, along with another 18 television monitors.

BetRivers IN App

Bettors will have no shortage of options to choose from when they sign in to the sportsbook as every sport and wagering type available at the physical location is available for online users. “Our experience and success in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York allows us to zero-in on what players want – a massive range of sports betting options, through reliable and scalable technology, with responsive customer service, and fast payouts,” said Richard Schwartz, President of Rush Street Interactive.

BetRivers offers an array of markets such as moneyline and spread bets, parlays, prop bets and even in-game betting on local games, as well as international games. The launch of their mobile sportsbook app means that fans in Indiana can now be in the stadium at their favorite sporting event and place a bet on the game they are watching.

Those interested in betting on BetRivers’ mobile sportsbook, or any other legal online sports betting app in Indiana, do not have to worry about the hassle of going to a casino to register in-person. Registration is a quick and easy process that can be done on a desktop or mobile device, including both Android and Apple phones. To create an account and place a wager with BetRivers Indiana sportsbook, users must be located within the state and be at least 21 years old.

BetRivers IN App Available Now

BetRivers hopes to make a big splash in the Indiana online sportbetting market with their semi-local ties and pre-existing physical sportsbook at French Lick Resorts.

“We are excited to make history in the state of Indiana,” said Schwartz. “As a Chicago-based business and affiliate of the trusted and market leading Rivers Casino in Illinois, we are proud to expand our trust into Indiana. We are thankful for the Indiana Gaming Commission giving Rush Street Interactive their vote of confidence and authorizing us to launch online sports betting in the state. We look forward to working together with French Lick to continue our great partnership.”

For sports fans in interested in online sports betting, DraftKings is our favorite app in Indiana with it’s easy to use interface and generous signup bonus and array of odds boosts.

Rivers Sportsbook is Set to Begin Testing in Pennsylvania Today

Bob Wankel - June 25, 2019

A day after Parx Sportsbook became the latest player to enter the PA online sports betting fray, Pittsburgh-based Rivers Casino is set to begin the mandatory testing phase for Rivers Sportsbook. This launch marks Rush Street Gaming’s second online sportsbook to go live in Pennsylvania, joining sister property SugarHouse Sportsbook PA which began its online operation last month.

Rivers Sportsbook, which will actually go by the name “BetRivers,” will become the state’s third online sportsbook to go live with others soon to follow in the coming weeks and months. The testing phase is expected to begin at 4pm this afternoon and run through midnight and then again on Wednesday from 2pm through midnight. If everything runs smoothly, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will give Rivers Sportsbook the go-ahead to begin full operation on Thursday.

Typically, Pennsylvania requires a three-day testing period, but because Rush Street Gaming already operates SugarHouse Sportsbook PA , the third testing day will be waived.

On a related note, the company recently announced plans to integrate its two brands sometime this summer with Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino soon to be renamed Rivers Casino Philadelphia, while SugarHouse Sportsbook PA will become BetRivers. We previously wrote about those anticipated changes right here.

So what does this mean for people looking to place bets in Pennsylvania? Anybody within state lines can open an account and begin wagering, but there is one minor catch. As we explained in our early thoughts on SugarHouse Sportsbook PA, prospective bettors will be able to place bets via Android devices, along with desktop and laptop computers, but mobile betting is not yet available in PA via iOS. Why? It’s a pretty complicated explanation, but you can check it out right here.
