Dan Carcillo Plays for the Rangers Tonight, Here’s My Favorite Car Bomb Moment

Kyle Scott - April 22, 2014

Screen Shot 2014-04-22 at 2.09.51 PM

This post originally appeared on the site on May 13, 2011, the day after Dan Carcillo manually stimulated what turned out to be a CB reader in an Atlantic City hotel room. I was told, at the time, that “her dad would be proud” because she denied Carcillo sex… and instead settled for a stand-up triple.

When Dan Carcillo (@og_carbomb13) Tweets to fellow NHLer Paul Bissonnette, good things are bound to happen.

Car Bomb quickly disarmed and removed the Tweet.

Just another day inside the head of Dan Carcillo, folks.

H/T to (@downgoesspezza) and (@mandy10) for the screen grab

Anyone See This Horrible Man Shove a Little Girl Last Night?

Checked both feeds– nothing. It happened when Erik Kratz was at-bat in the ninth inning. He hit a foul ball behind home in the area of the press box. Beat writers quickly started tweeting about it:

UPDATE! WHO DID IT? Woman Took One in the Eye From Either a Flyers or Penguins Fan

Kyle Scott - April 22, 2013

Hearing the victim was not Princess Sasss

A fist.

According to Centre Daily, that website you may have heard of during the whole Jerry Sandusky thing, a 23-year-old woman had a pretty typical Saturday night in the happy valley… until the end: she got herself gussied up, went to the bar, found a 5’9″ guy unappealing… and then took a direct hit in the eye:

Police said two men were arguing about the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers around 11:08 and when the woman interjected her opinion, one of the men punched her in the eye.

She described the unknown man as college-age, 5 feet 9 inches tall with brown eyes. Police will follow-up with bar staff and watch surveillance video to find out what happened.

Two men arguing about the Penguins and Flyers is basically a certificate program at Penn State. But, usually, those arguments don’t end with a woman being punched. And based on what I know about people from Pittsburgh, it was the Penguins fan. That just seems like something they would do. Bitch had it coming type thing. But if it was a Flyers fan… well, we know what that headline will look like.

I’ll keep an eye on this story for you.

UPDATE: Reader Brian checks in and claims he was there. And he claims the puncher was, in fact, a Flyers fan:

Anyway this happened at the Skeller on Saturday and involved this girl and some random dude.  Sadly this is where I have to admit that the guy was a flyers fan and it was about hockey.  We have been drinking non stop since 9am and this happened around 10pm.  I over heard them yelling about hockey and both trying to provoke each other.  Our friend pushed the guy and scratched/pulled his hair him first.  Before anyone could react to stop her the dude swung and punched her straight in the face with both of them falling the ground.  It took the bouncers all of 5 seconds to jump in and throw the guy out.  From my understanding they already have the guys information because she is pressing charges.  I don’t condone ever hitting a girl for any reason, but she really did a good job pissing off a drunk flyers fan.

OK, so we can now just pretend this didn’t happen.

Hooters Ball Girl Battles Darin Ruf for Final Outfield Spot

Kyle Scott - March 19, 2013

Let’s just say that the Hooters ball girls in Clearwater aren’t there for their love gloves.

Earlier this spring, one leggy blonde – who Darren Daulton would have just loved – shocked the world by snagging a (fair) grounder down the left field line… but today, her right field counterpart wasn’t so lucky. She saw two balls go through her wickets (…) during the bottom of the third… and then she heard it from the crowd. Of course, Darin Ruf is throwing balls over the outfield fence. So this actually isn't the worst fielding fans have seen at Phillies games this week.

Khalif Wyatt Took Evan Turner to “White Girl Wednesday” Last Night… and That Couldn’t Have Ended Well

Evan Turner, who we’re assuming is still dating Chels (pictorial here), made another appearance at White Girl Wednesdays at the Draught Horse, on Temple’s campus, last night. He was brought there by Khalif Wyatt, which is never a safe thing:

CTFUUU! The last time Wyatt turned up something on diamond dollars, he was arrested for buying hookers. Presumably, that didn't happen last night. Or maybe it did. Who am I to judge?

Some more sightings:

Meep meep.

On Saturday, Turner took in the football game at his alma mater, Ohio State:

By all accounts, ET and Chels are madly in love, so we’re not implying anything. But, I mean, who doesn’t love themselves some white girls?

Video: 10-Year-Old Girl Asks Cole Hamels About His Bed Time

Kyle Scott - June 4, 2012

On Friday, Cole Hamels and his wife Heidi announced a $300,000 donation, to be made by The Hamels Foundation, to Bayard Taylor Elementary School in North Philadelphia. Like last year, when another local school benefited from The Hamels Foundation’s work, Cole made his rounds in the media before the announcement. And while I couldn't attend this year’s event, thankfully Zoo With Roy sent their field reporter, 10-year-old Emma, to talk shop with Hamels.

The topics? Cole’s bed time, his favorite ice cream flavor, and reader-submitted Photoshops. Also, and perhaps not surprisingly, we learned that Cole doesn’t fancy himself a boxer.

On May 19, Don’t Let Your Girl Get Burrelled

More fine work from our friends at BirdText.com. Take your girl out on May 19… because Pat Burrell is coming back to town.

Evan Turner and Sixers Lose Tough One to Nuggets, Hit Up White Girl Wednesdays at Draught Horse

Kyle Scott - January 19, 2012

Evan Turner is stepping his play up a notch. Last night Beaker put up 20 and 11 in a hard fought – really, it was – loss to that bastard Andre Miller and the Denver Nuggets. You can see ET’s maturity in plays like the one he made with 1:50 remaining in the fourth quarter: he got the ball on the baseline, and instead of hastily putting up a jumper (which he did, and missed, just a few minutes earlier), he drove the baseline and went in for the easy two.  You can see what I’m talking about at the :50 mark of this video.

After the game, Turner, Lou Williams, Jrue Holiday and Lavoy Allen hit up White Girls Wednesdays at the Draught Horse on Temple's campus, according to the Twitters:

Turner, of course, is a veteran of WGW. Get some, ET. Not you, though, Jrue. You sit in the corner for that ill-advised pass you made to end the game.

Pictures are welcome…
