Andy Martino (@surfingthemets), who covers the Mets for the New York Daily News, gave us a little glimpse inside their upbeat locker room. He tweeted the following, as he watched Rod- F'n- Barajas say goodbye to teammates, after being claimed off waivers by the Dodgers:
Morale low here. One Met, watching Barajas say goodbyes, half-jokes "Can I go with him?"
Ladies and gentlemen, your New York Mets.

Doesn't Luis Castillo not like playing there because he doesn't like being a bench player? And Franceour doesn't like being replaced by a rookie. But, who'd wanna play for a team whose ace molested a woman on a golf course? And whose closer punched his father-in-law and broke his thumb in the process? Ya...Phillies sure are the team that no one wants to play for. Karma's a bitch.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm glad we have Matt Gelb now. No offense to Andy Martino, but I always found his writing to be glad and redundant. David Murphy is still the best though.
