Ryan Howard left the 1st inning of today's game with a sprained left ankle. X-rays on the ankle and his right elbow (from being hit by a pitch in the first inning) were both negative.
He twisted the ankle awkwardly going back into the second base bag.
Looks like he dodged a serious bullet here, but sprains can be lasting injuries.
