Cliff Lee Will Miss Another Start

Hey look– the Phillies underestimated an injury. WHERE HAVE WE SEEN THIS BEFORE?

Cliff Lee was scheduled to come off the DL on Friday, but, according to Phillies.com’s Todd Zolecki, he won’t pitch against the Nationals that night. He still needs to throw two bullpen sessions, the first of which is yet to be scheduled.

He could pitch five days later. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

Oh well. He’s at best a number two on any team. He’s not an ace.
