Vote For Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell to be on NHL 13 Cover (and Admire This Photoshop)

Claude Giroux is going to win the NHL 13 cover voting. There’s no way around it. He was the leading vote getter two weeks in, and has now received one of two number one seeds for the round of 16 voting. Now through May 2, you can vote for Claude against Montreal’s P.K. Subban.

Scott Hartnell, a two seed, who was defeated by Giroux in the opening round but then given a “wild card” (because he was likely still near the top in votes), will face Tyler Seguin of the Bruins.

The winner of each of those matches will face each other, which means that again Giroux and Hartnell will battle it out (who is doing the seeding here?!).

Vote for both guys here.

  1. Always a token black guy! Jk
Knock knocks all the way to the cup!!!!!

  2. so basically hartnell will face giroux in a matchup for the cover…looks like the Mayans were right and eight months early nonetheless

  3. awesome pic, but who is the baby??

  4. Sarah get back to the kitchen

The baby looks like either Matt Read or Brayden Schenn.
About the seeding, unless they are doing some reformatting after this round, they are just trying to avoid a Flyers final. When in any tournament (besides a 4 team bracket) would a 1 and 2 go against eachother before the Semis? Regardless, Giroux is going to win.

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a curse on hockey players who get the cover to NHL games like NFL players who get injured or run into all sorts of bad luck when they wind up on the cover of Madden?

  7. Yea… they score 60 goals and win the Rocket Richard Trophy (Stamkos) or the Stanley Cup (Kane)

  8. feels refreashing coming on here in the morning & not seeing comments from the pens fan who goes to Temple.

JT: I think it’s safe to say he’s crawled back under his rock and won’t be heard from again until next season, if then.

  10. @JT someone else has been absent too if you know who I mean…that has been refreshing…I feel as if the blog got much cleaner with the trash that has been thrown out.
Wonder if they reseed the match ups. I think they just went with the highest vote getters and Hartnell was prob the 3rd highest. That’s why he got the first #2 seed.
They did not do that to avoid an all Flyers finals because there is a St Louis Blue player on each side so they could face off in the finals…

    Fuck you guys…1975

  15. ^ Ahh, such stirring eloquence. You can go now. Your rock awaits.

  16. I didn’t realize there were two STL Blues on different sides, but Hartnell and Giroux been in the top 3 of votes every round I believe; so its much more likely they could make it to the finals than the two Blues’ players. I can only assume to believe that they will re-seed after this round or else it would make no sense.

  17. The baby is Voracek

  18. Voracek is in the top left… it does kind of look like Read

It looks like Read or Schenn. Voracek, Hartnell, Coots, Simmonds, Briere and Jagr are the others.

  20. Shawn, they will prob re seed but even if they do Hartnell and Giroux would only meet in the finals for the left side not the cover…
Have no idea who the baby is…but this picture is really funny lol.
Coot Jags simmonds and G are the best ones…
