Capitals Announcer Destroys Flyers

I can’t believe this, but I agree with every word of Caps radio play-by-play man John Walton’s call last night. He rips Ray Emery and the Flyers a new one. And they deserved it.

Listen here.

Go write for a different sports town.. I mean half of what you write is support of another town or an ex player of this town..

  3. Count the rings Capitol announcer ! NHL players are allowed to start fights with players who don’t want to fight with out being suspended

If you still defend your point after this .. you are a tool.

  4. MD was not alive for any Flyers rings

Can you count any rings in the past three decades? nope… at least you have the sixe… oh wait… well at least the eagles are… oh wait… go phillies! oh wait…

  5. If you defend what Emory did, you’re an idiot. He’s a scumbag.

  6. Homophobic slurs are not appropriate

And there it is, the f-word. Jesus, can you be any more predictable? Homophobic much?

  7. Kyle.. You made your point already with 5 articles this morning about emery.. Move on

  8. As a major fan of the game, I have to say Emery was a complete ass. Washington’s goalie clearly wanted no parts of Emery, but Emery ignored that and beat the guys ass any way. It does nothing for the team because nothing can help this team. The Flyers are just not a good hockey team, with a bench full of average players, that’s it.

He didn’t just insist on fighting a guy who obviously didn’t want a fight, but he did so in very poor fashion. First off, he punches the guy while the guy’s on his knees, a big no-no unless there’s a history involved. Then, he punches him while he’s not only on his knees, but in the fucking back of the head, like eight times! I thought Emery was an absolute asshole for picking the fight then insisting he go after Holtby in the first place, but after seeing how he was such a fucking dick and so relentless and hitting while down and hitting him in the back of the head… fucking disgusting, absolutely disgusting. I’m no fan of either team, fuck them both, but fuck emery, I hope I never have to see his ugly ass ever again unless someone’s busting his face while he’s knocked out.

  9. to be fair, you can’t “sucker punch” someone 6 times. after the first one, it’s pretty obvious. Cap’s announcer is a little bitch. It’s a fucking hockey game. Get over it.

  10. Little over the top but I can see how Kyle would beat off to this announcer. Pretty sure you can’t sucker punch someone who knows its coming. Just another major overreaction since that is all we do in this town for anything sports related anymore.

Was an all out brawl in a 7-0 drubbing necessary? Probably not. Was Emery skating the length of the ice to fight a goalie who didn’t want to fight a good idea? Again, probably not. But he did not assault him in anyway. He shouldn’t be suspended. It isn’t the first all out brawl in a hockey game especially a lopsided one. Holtby knew it was coming and should have just fought back. And now its coming out that Holtby was pointing to the scoreboard? So yeah, that’s taunting and therefore leaves you as fair game. If you didn’t want your bell rung while Simmonds and Wilson were trading blows you should’ve have just stayed in your crease or skated around the net like goalies do during stoppages.
