After investigating claims of sexual assault against Nelson Agholor, the District Attorney’s office has decided to not pursue charges, citing a lack of sufficient evidence:

The District Attorney’s Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit and detectives from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit thoroughly investigated the allegations of sexual assault against Nelson Agholor. As a result of this joint investigation, our staff and the Police reached the conclusion that we lacked sufficient evidence to bring charges against Mr. Agholor, therefore no charges will be filed.

Seth Williams’ office offered no further information. Agholor’s lawyer, Fortunato N. Perri, Jr (Interesting guy, look him up. Really.), said he believed the DA had conducted a “full and exhaustive” investigation of the events that took place at Cheerleaders which led to rape allegations against Agholor.

Post Script: The DA’s office released the press release for the non-charges on their WordPress page, which uses the first layout option and a totally unreadable header:

philly da

I know the city doesn’t have a ton of money to throw around, but you can’t get Seth Williams’ office its own URL? Some quick design help? You can’t have an intern look at it for like four minutes?

Kyle: There seemed to be literally no evidence against Agholor, but me thinks an Eagle would have to shoot someone on video, with written letter of intent, for Williams to charge them with a crime.
