FOX Philly Wishes Joe Frazier a Happy Birthday, Forgets He’s Been Dead for Five Years

Joe Frazier passed away in the tail end of 2011 at the age of 67. Since then, there was the long road to a statue – which also included the death of the original sculptor – and an effort to get his old gym on the National Register of Historic Places. Today would have been Smokin’ Joe’s 73rd birthday. Or, as Fox29 put it, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE HAVE A GOOD ONE!

They also said Frazier will be at City Hall at 6PM tonight. I really hope people don’t go there expecting to see him, and I hope even more that he doesn’t actually show up.
When he's not writing about sports here or ranting about them on Twitter, Jim is probably watching X-Files on Netflix or drinking a beer somewhere. Jim has nothing against hockey, it's just not his style. He once met Duce Staley at a Sixers game.
