Werth home run roberts
It turns out Jayson Werth was pretty close with Robin Roberts.  Roberts hung around the Phillies a lot, so many of the players had a connection with him, but Werth, like Roberts, was from Springfield Ill.  Roberts was a big fan of Werth's, and yesterday after Roberts' passing, his granddaughter predicted Werth would hit a home run for her grandfather during his first as-bat, as she watched the game at home with family.

Werth blasted a three run home run, and the Phils never looked back.  When he crossed home plate he pointed up at the sky to honor Roberts.

When told about Roberts' granddaughter's prediction, Werth rubbed the chills on his arms and said, "that's amazing right there."

Good stuff.
