According to this Wall Street Journal article, Roy Halladay stands to lose about $75,000 because the Blue Jays series was shifted from Toronto to Philadelphia.  We're not going to pretend to be tax experts, but basically players who move from Canadian to US based teams can lessen their tax burden by allocating a portion of their earnings as a foreign tax credit.  Halladay is set to make $15.75 million this year, about $215,000 of that would have been considered foreign source income for the Toronto series, meaning he wouldn't have to pay the $75,000 in taxes on that.  Since the series is in Philadelphia, he pays.

But hey, at least the Phillies got him a bass fishing trip

Yesterday we reported that Ryan Howard was dating Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks.  This was first noted by the NY Post's Page Six on Sunday.  Well today, Ebanks (@msselitaebanks) tweeted her displeasure of Page Six, seemingly refuting the rumors she is with Howard:

gd morning my twttr lover & haters! wht side of the bd did u wake up
on 2day? I'm on that business fabulous side. Page 6 woke up on the BS
side. Lol smh

UPDATE:  She cryptically responded to our Tweet:

Perhaps Howard is still dating this Oxford teacher who used to date Jeff Carter.  Which by the way, I'm pretty sure any 20s-30s guy in the Philadelphia area could play seven degrees of Jeff Cater and find so many commonalities by step four, that he would be creeped out enough to stop playing.

Finally, Comcast Spectacor plans to shrink the proposed "Philly Live" complex from 300k sq. feet to 40k sq. feet.  The entertainment center is to be built on the Spectrum's footprint.
