So, Roy Halladay is Getting a Week Off
By Kyle Scott
Published:
Halladay pitched on Saturday, pitched another 2/3 of an inning last night (Tuesday), and won't pitch again until Sunday. Clearly, Charlie Manuel is treating last night's outing like any normal start. But Halladay only threw 17 pitches…
Most pitchers throw on the second or third day between starts anyway. Why press the reset button on him? The Phils have very little wiggle room left, and could use the extra start that Halladay would probably gain by pitching on Thursday.
I would rather have not seen him pitch last night if this was going to be the case. [Philly.com]
