Chase Utley has been cleared to start swinging a bat- a huge step in his recovery. Utley is still on track for an 8 week recovery time, but as Ryan Lawrence mentions, he could be back in a rehab stint as early as next week.
The Phils won't commit to a date earlier than September 1st, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Utley in the lineup again within two weeks.
