Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people?  The Phillies honored this 5th grade teacher from NJ today (name redacted because we're giving her the business and we feel bad that she had her house burned down, we really do) for showing her dedication to the team.  Last April she received a call that her house was on fire.  She ran home to retrieve her Phillies season tickets from the burning house.

Ok.  We do realize that the tickets are barcode based, right?  It's VERY easy to reprint new ones. As the article points out, the Phillies will reprint tickets if yours are burned in a fire.  They're good people like that.

Kudos to Jim Jackson for showing up at the event (the Phils sent their A-listers).  A shake of the head to the teacher from Jersey and the Phillies for giving her a Jayson Werth shirsey- he's got about two months left with the team.  <- notice how I invoked November baseball?

This is becoming a disturbing trend.  Eagles fans have been known to do the same thing.

What the hell is wrong with people?

Adding it to my list of pet peeves, which now includes Ill shirts, the "safe and secure" ad, and PEOPLE RUNNING INTO THEIR BURNING HOMES TO SAVE A STRIP OF "MADE FROM 92% RECYCLED STOCK."
