What a joke.

The Sixers, who raised their prices for select games (ya know, when there is actually talent you want to see at The Well), are basically giving away tickets to other games through a Groupon offer today…. not to mention that they are literally giving away tickets to AT&T customers and Flyers season ticket holders.

Today's Groupon deal is for drastic discounts on tickets to games against the Hawks, Pacers, and Cavaliers.  Thanks, fledgling organization, fans can't wait to see those equally horrid franchises.

This is no doubt the work of new Sixers ticket "guru" Joseph Ondrejko.  Joe Russia previously headed up ticket sales in the hockey hotbed of Columbus, whose fans loved-themselves-some-puck by attending more hockey games than exactly eight other cities.  The Blue Jackets finished the season 22nd out of 30 in the league in attendance, just behind Ondrejko's former employer, the Tampa Bay Lightning, who finished 21st.

For those who don't know, these deals usually aren't subdizied by Groupon.  Rather, businesses give them a private offer for one-day, in an effort to raise awareness for their product.  Don't worry, Sixers, we are well aware of your ineptitude.

And while I swear this wasn't meant to be an advertisement, you don't need Groupon to get great deals on Sixers tickets.  For example, that game on Friday against the Hawks… you can sit in the lower level for under $20 and in the second level for UNDER $10 with Crossing Broad Tickets.

And for the game on Wednesday against the Heat?  Currently, there are 14 sets of tickets available for under $30.

Thank you, Sixers and Groupon, but we still have you beat.
