Brad Lidge Out 3 to 6 Weeks, Contreras to Close

Published:
As first reported by CSN DNL Booking Producer Rachel Appel-Vazquez (deep breath), Ruben Amaro says Brad Lidge has a rotator cuff strain and will not need surgery. He will be out 3-to-6 weeks.
That's good. I think.
Charlie Manuel said Jose Contreras will most likely be the team's closer. That's also good. Those big mitts, beads of sweat, and his enlarged head. Oh yeah, closer stuff. The Big Truck is out for delivery.
Manuel also named Ben Francisco the starting right fielder. No surprise there.
