UPDATE: Deemer in the comments points out they caught the driver late last night. Video above.
San Francisco is just the worst.
According to FOX Philly, a nine-year-old Phillies fan was run over by a Toyota pick up truck after he was presumably leaving the game last night.
The truck reportedly hit several parked cars and then sped off onto a highway. The boy is in critical condition. Just awful.
[Here are a few more instances of idiot San Franciscans] We'll update the story when we can.

But… But Kyyyyllleeee. There’s no way. This type of thing NEVER happens outside of Philthadelphia, amirite?!
Must have been a transplant Philadelphia fan driving the Toyota. That’s the ONLY explanation!!!
I hope the cops find this miserable bastard, chain him to a 100 pound barbell and pitch his ass off the Golden Gate Bridge. The fact that a dirtbag like him is breathing the same air as I am is intolerable!
They caught the guy last night

That story is a pronoun-storm of epic proportions.\
The actual news story, sorry.
Wow what the fuck california, handle your shit. You don’t see all these incidents on the east coast, and we actual care about our sports.
This is horrible, come on people learn how to drive!!!!
poor girl got saunders. hope she is ok
Was probably scum bag Lincecum hot boxing in his toyota! all impaired smoking his weed. gangle toothed mother fucker….
The guy looks like Mike Green from the Capitals.
I just gives you a sick feeling inside. My kids are always SO pumped after leaving the Bank and it’s a struggle to keep them close by when walking to the parking lot. There’s a special place in hell for this jerk.
Terrible place out there.
It happens in Philadelphia too..just sayin
prayers for the little guy that he pulls through

Funny…why isn’t this the lead story on ESPN, Fox, ABC, CBS, Telemundo, NBC, BBC, CNN, WPAX – etc.
I mean so far – our taser and mr. vomit look TAME compared to the left coast…
Terrible. Prayers to this boy and his family.
@ horseface, while any loss of life is sad, neither of the WOMEN in your story were 9 years old….and that jersey shore reject that hit the cardinals fans didnt flee the scene, at least from that story you linked…. just sayin
@Adamn
I agree..timmy jim i can’t fix my teeth did that sh!t
Fry em’. This is terrible. Poor kid. Thoughts and prayers go out to the youngster and his family.
If this happened in Philadelphia, it would be national news.
sad-FACE
This just sucks. All the best little guy!
This won’t hit ESPN because they are too busy felating the Eagles for 30% of every sportscenter…a week later.
Wait, are we sure this is a “fan-related” incident?
I know it happened at the ballpark after the game, but it takes a special brand of soulless scumbag to knowingly run over a child because he’s wearing the visiting team’s colors?
Are we absolutely positive this wasn’t an accident that was compounded by the driver taking off out of fear?
I’m absolutely not trying to make like this isn’t a big deal, because it is. My heart goes out to the child and the family.
@Kate
I’m certain it was a “run him over because he’s a Phillies fan” thing. If that was the case, the guy should be instantly hanged just like the assholes Dodgers fans.
Still, he was probably drunk. He hit the kid then hit a row of parked cars. It’s a senseless accident that didn’t need to happen. And to take off because of it makes the guy an asshole.
And yes, this can happen anywhere. It happened in Philly, too.
But, again, our argument is that it’s national news here… and swept under the rug everywhere else.
Just like you PHILLIES fans don’t want us to assume that ALL of you are just like Puke Boy, don’t assume all us Giants fans aren’t drunk drivers hell bent on running over fans of a visiting team.
Enough with the hate filled comments already. Use that energy to send prayers to the kid and his family.
This post is a stretch a best. Hit and runs happen pretty frequently throughout the country; this really could have happened anywhere and the fact that a Giants’ fan (do we even know that the driver IS a Giants’ fan??) hit a child from Philadelphia (do we even know the child is a Phillies’ fan??) should reflect poorly on ONLY the driver. And it should reflect poorly on him NOT because he is potentially a Giants’ fan or even because he is from San Francisco, but because he hit somebody with his vehicle and fled the scene. Trying to link a hit and run with sports like this is asinine.
I hope the kid pulls through, its such a shame and my prayers are with him..and all hit and run drivers are dirtbags regardless of what team they root for
Not trying to make this a “fan” thing, but it’s another thing that certainly reflects poorly on San Fran. As you know, if this happened in Philly, major news, whether it anything to do with the game or not. That’s all I was getting at.
THE DRIVER IS FROM HAYWARD,CALIF NOT SAN FRANCISCO ! THE ACCIDENT WAS AT NEW MONTGOMERY AND MISSION STREETS WHICH IS ABOUT 8 BLOCKS FROM THE BALL PARK . THE KID WAS BORN IN PHLLY. NOW WHAT ANY OF THOSE FACTS HAVE TO WITH THE GIANTS, THEIR FANS , PHILLY FANS OR BASEBALL IN GENERAL IS BEYOND MY IMAGINATION !!!! ANOTHER MEDIA PLAY ON WORDS TO MAKE AN AWFUL INCIDENT MORE THAN IT IS !!!! HOPE THE LIL GUY IS OK AND I HOPE YOU HATEFUL PEOPLE REALIZE THAT NOT EVERYTHING YOU HEAR IS TRUE JUST BECAUSE ITS ON TV !!!!! JUST WATCH FOX NEWS AND SEE FOR YOURSELF !!!!
@Mark – STOP YELLING DUMBSHIT!!! What we’re trying to say is that if it were a Giants fan hit by a Philly driver, it would be the headline on all the major media outlets. Try reading the posts dumbass.
EXCUSE me sayign SF is the wrost FIRST iff it is a hayward man not a SF man. and wasnt a cardinal fan killed trying to cross the street in your park?
