The Winter Classic still hasn't been officially announced (word is it will come in 11 days when the Flyers and Rangers play a pre-season game), but that hasn't stopped HBO from shooting preliminary footage for 24/7.

Ladies and gentlemen, the NY Daily News:

The Winter Classic still has not been officially announced, but there was even more light cast on the worst-kept secret in the NHL Wednesday, as HBO's crew for "24/7" showed up in Greenburgh to get preliminary footage of the Rangers and get acquainted with the setup at the practice rink.

The crew was officially indoctrinated to life in the Rangers' locker room when Brandon Prust advised a couple of them to be careful not to step on the logo on the carpet at the center of the room, then shared a laugh.

"It's good to have them now, so we can get an idea of what it's going to be like," Prust said. "It's definitely going to be different. You've got to try to block them out and just go about your business as usual. We all know what's happening, so it's a good way for us to prepare, and the show, it's a good show. We all saw what the show did last year, it was a big success, so we're going to try to make it even more of a success."

Presumably, they'll be in Voorhees at some point soon.

Prust Tweeted about it, too:

In other hockey media news, the NHL will implement a social media policy: [CBC]

Highlights of the policy include a social media blackout window before, during and after games, as well as during practice and any other team obligations. Any use of social media applications such as Twitter or Facebook in violation of these rules may be subject to an undisclosed punishment.

Hmm. Sounds a lot like what Paul Holmgren told Wayne Fish on Tuesday, so don't expect any Bryz gems during "business hours." Sad, really. But we'll take the HBO goodness over stuff like this:

UPDATE: The blackout policy is from at least two hours prior to the game until after media obligations are fulfilled.
