Late last week and over the weekend, we stumbled upon several noteworthy pictures of current and recent Philly athletes. Some photos (Werth and D-Jac) were taken recently….

… others (Giroux and Flyers) were following a road win against the New York Rangers in February of 2009. Members of the team – Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Darroll Powe, Riley Cote, Scottie Upshall and Claude Giroux – went out to celebrate the victory with Bill Richards, Mike’s father.

The Flyers had just beaten the Rangers, 5-2, during a Sunday afternoon game at Madison Square Garden. These were taken later that night, early Monday morning (as you can tell by the screen in the background in one of the pictures), at what looks like a Philly bar. Giroux and Richards had both scored in the win, which was cause for two generations of Canadian boys to get rowdy.

And yes, the tail was plentiful. Don’t ask– just view.

Many more pictures after the jump.

H/T to Brian for the tip on the D-Jac picture

In case you were wondering, only one player remains from this not so Dry Island: Claude Giroux.
