Unlike Bryz’s Husky, French Poodle is not a hot girl.

Earlier today, in a blatant plug for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which will appear on NBC-owned networks, known mush Mike Milbury unveiled his long-awaited three dogs of the NHL. None were compliments. In order:

Jeff Carter: Chihuahua (heh)

Alex Semin: Basenji

Ilya Bryzgalov: French Poodle

And, of course, Pierre McGuire felt the need to weigh-in, too: They only have him for eight more years– that’s a lot of dog food.

Sure is.

    Pierre Mcguire, the same guy who on TSN a few years ago said he likes players with “big sticks.”
    Douche.

    @mike size
    He was signed for 9 years to bring the cap hit down. (same with Prongers contract) Hes only going to be the starter in Philly for like 4 years or so (unless he just dominates) They want to get Bob ready to be a #1.
    I know he makes 51 million but hes not even the highest cap hit on the Flyers…Briere and Timmo are bigger cap hits.

    Since bombings in December and January shattered the surface calm in the city on two Fridays, few venture from their homes on the once-lighthearted start of the weekend here.

    Sadly, until Bryzgalov gets his act together, he’s going to continue being a punchline, and deservedly too.

    @Chirp – Bob never has been and never will be NHL starter quality, face it, Bryz sucks and Bob is no more than a backup. Flyers goaltending BLOWS!

    @bogans. I never claimed Bob was, is, or is going to be a #1. I simply stated what it looks like the plans are for the Flyers.
    I have to agree that I do not feel Bob will ever be a #1. Right now he jumps in for a few spot starts here and there and plays well. The problem is hes not paid like Bryz so nobody in the media and most (clueless) fans dont see that hes not really getting better each year. He is young though and has time to improve.
    We see what happens when he gets the starting role (loss to Rangers and Red Wings) and finally the NBC announcers even pointed out that we needed a big save from him and we didnt get it.
