Claude Giroux May Not Be an MVP Finalist... But He's Giving Women Dating Advice in Cosmo
I apologize for the lack of updates today. Our “style writer” Dan Fuller and I were participating in the Home Runs For Heart media day at Citizens Bank Park (more on that later…). But we’re back and ready to serve.
Like teammate Matt Read and GM Paul Holmgren, Claude Giroux was snubbed for a postseason award. He wasn’t a finalist in the Hart Trophy (MVP) voting.
Well, that’s unfortunate and, quite honestly, unjust to G. He finished the season third in the league in points and first in resembling Jesus.
After practice today, Giroux talked about the snub: [CSN Philly]
“Which one is that?” Giroux asked.
MVP.
“I’m kidding!” he laughed. “Ah, no, I didn’t see the news but at the end of the day, that’s not the trophy I want. Obviously, it’s not something I control and a detail I don’t care a lot about.”
Well played.
The Hart Trophy voting, obviously, doesn’t take into account playoff success. Plus, who needs the MVP when you can give women advice in Cosmo?
Wait, what?
That’s right, laides (and secure men), Claude Giroux offers up his advice on “how to score points with a sports fan” in Cosmo. Really. And of course G continued his love affair with Minka Kelly:
If your guy takes you to a game, don't dress head-to-toe in team colors—it can look insincere. Just wear a cute pair of jeans and a tee with layered bracelets (think: Minka Kelly at Yankees games).
