Ilya Bryzgalov Would Like You To Know That He’s No Longer Afraid Of Bears
By Kyle Scott
Published:
The last time Ilya Bryzgalov tweeted was 100 days ago, before he turned his season around from borderline disaster to setting the Flyers’ all-time shutout streak record.
We figured we probably wouldn’t hear from him again – at least on the interwebtuals – until after the playoffs, whenever that may be for the Flyers (so, June…).
We were wrong.
Bryz, who is smarter than he looks and deceptively self-aware, fired out a link to this picture Saturday night, a direct reference to his comment about only being afraid of bears who reside in the forest:
Now how can you be afraid of that? The answer is you can’t. Not when the Flyers are up 2-0 and a bunch of Pittsburgh folks are stuck with life-sized bear costumes to find a use for.
Ladies and gentlemen, your new victory .GIF. Thrust away, little guy. Thrust away.
H/T to the several folks who alerted us to Bryz's Tweet
