Diamonds on My Neck – which was posted to YouTube on July 5, but just today found the light of day – is a classic tale of money, hoes and diamonds, performed in the style of, well, all other hip hop joints.
In his solo (at 49 seconds), DeSean reaches deep to examine the dichotomy and his internal struggle between hot (fever) and cold (ice and diamonds):
I got those diamonds on my neck, headin’ straight for my D-boys
I ride around with that ego, but it’s tint though, no fever
That ice cold receiver, got those money bags I got freezin’
Those cold nights and those sunny days, that Jaccpot movement got me buzzin’

It’s not half bad, actually. That said, DeSean will be broke one day.
