Report: Joshua Harris Bought the New Jersey Devils
By Kyle Scott

Unreal. Howard Eskin, who was first with reports this week that Joshua Harris was interested in buying the Devils, is reporting that it’s a done deal. Money has been agreed to. Slightly offensive marketing campaign is still being tweaked.
Sources confirm #sixers owner josh harris has agreed on the money to purchase #NJdevils. The purchase will cover all debt of jeff vanderbeek

This bothers me, and it should bother you too. Harris barely seemed interested in being remotely involved with owning the Sixers. Now he has two teams to go along with all of his BS holding companies. What’s worse, besides him, you know, owning the Devils, is the fact that the Devils own their arena. The Sixers don’t– they pay rent (to the Flyers!) and basically don’t sell tickets. New Jersey no longer has a basketball team. Do the math. There’s no indication that Harris plans to move the Sixers, but… from a business standpoint it would make sense. I’m just thinking out lout here. Either way, things just got awkward on South Broad. And Harris, deservingly, took a major PR hit.
