Eliot Shorr-Parks joined me this week. He covers the Eagles for NJ.com. He was at the game on Monday and talked about the mood in a (packed) press box. We had a great conversation about Chip Kelly’s offense, the reaction to it, the sustainability of it, and how the mood of the team differs drastically from the previous few years. A very non-sports talk radio-like conversation. Eliot’s an Apple fanboy, like me, so we also discussed the new iPhones and why he doesn’t think he’ll be getting one.

Eliot wrote a book a few years ago, More Than a Game: Life Lessons from Philadelphia’s Sports Communities. He detailed the process of putting that together and his awkward encounter with an in-uniform Carlos Ruiz.

You can, and should, follow Eliot on Twitter (@EliotShorrParks) and pick up his book on Amazon or the iBookstore.
