Tentative Dates for Peter Laviolette’s Radio Show on 97.5 The Fanatic

Ponzio’s has officially cornered the coach’s radio show market.

Charlie Manuel’s show with Glen Macnow and Anthony Gargano on WIP was held there, and now, Peter Laviolette will join Jason Myrtetus and Chris Therien at the restaurant 8-10 times this season, on select weekdays, from 6-7 p.m. In addition, Mike Missanelli will broadcast from 2-6 at Ponzio’s Diner, Bakery and Bar leading into each show. This sort of follows 97.5’s Talkin’ Baseball with Dutch format.

Lavs announced the show yesterday.

These are the tentative dates and times, subject to change. The first three are set in stone:

1. Tuesday, October 1st
2. Tuesday, October 22nd
3. Monday, January 27th
4. Wednesday, Feburary 5th
5. Wednesday, Feburary 26th
6. Monday, March 3rd
7. Monday, March 10th
8. Monday, March 17th
9. Monday, April 14th
10. TBD – Post Season Show (if necessary…)

Fuckin’ right.

  1. I have to admit, for the first time in forever, I don’t give a shit about the flyers. Maybe it’s just bc No team in Philly sports in my generation has had so many chances to win and has fallen short over and over again. (I’m 30)

Or maybe it’s bc it’s the same reason since 1976 we’ve lost over the year. The goalie carousel continues this year, we have a team a lot of potential but a question mark in net. I’m just bored of this same storyline. And I think I know how

    1. …how it ends. Make playoffs-lose in playoffs to a team who has a hotter goaltender. Ed snider becomes another year older, his chicks become another year younger. Next offseason we acquire a just past his prime forward or oversized defensemen. Rinse and repeat…

  2. So two token “start of the season” shows and then nothing until they anticipate the Eagles season being done and they need to fill air time with something until Spring Training. Nice.
