Anyone Know What Steve Ott was Doing in Philly Yesterday?

Steve Ott, whom you may remember as the guy Claude Giroux chirped, or as the guy Peter Laviolette told to “go fuck himself,” was, for some reason, in Philly yesterday, at the Art Museum.

Ott, who was traded along with the feminine Ryan Miller from the Sabres to the Blues this season, is an unrestricted free agent. He had briefly been bestowed the honor of being Sabres captain and, as summed up by Kevin Allen of USA Today, is a “leader and valuable third-line role player with enough offensive skill to contribute a key goal now and then.” In other words: a Flyer.

Teams are restricted from talking to free agents before July 1.
