When Non-Rhetorical Twitter Questions Go Wrong

There is a fine line between teeing up a lively Twitter discussion and setting yourself up for ridicule. Let’s start with Donovan McNabb, who excels at the latter.

Former Five continues to poll his followers about inane topics for his radio show. Who do you like to win the NBA Finals and why?  Were you surprised at the Spurs or disappointed in the Thunder? As expected, McNabb didn’t quite get the responses he was looking for:

That should help steer the on-air conversation.

To be fair, McNabb did receive a handful of real responses, but per the usual, they were drowned out by the dickish ones.

And then, of course, there was this question from the Flyers’ official account which, at least on Twitter, didn’t receive one actual response:

It’s a dangerous world out there, on Twitter.
