If you missed it, Nick Foles spoke after the game today almost exclusively about the fight his teammates showed in getting his back on what he called a “dirty play”:

“I love those guys. I’m going to fight every time for them and they’re going to fight for me. Knowing that he (Jason Peters) had my back in that situation where a guy does a dirty play, all those guys kept fighting, our team was fighting throughout the whole day. I’m really, really proud of my teammates today.”

“It was a fight, ya’ll saw it. It was a fight. Literally there were fights during the game. So it was a fight. Everybody saw it. It was a hard fought game. Washington came out fighting, we fought back. I’m glad we wound up on top. Guys kept fighting until the end.”

We interrupt this feel-good Nick Foles post to bring you a word from Cary Williams, on a fight of a different kind. Cary?

“I’m going to be honest with you, it didn’t matter if we had a short week or a long week, it’s been the same. Something needs to change for us to be more productive. It’s tough enough to go out there and play hard for 60 minutes, let alone having to fight through the week.”

Thanks, Cary. Back to our regularly scheduled Foles.

“I love Jason Peters to death.”

“My teammates are fighting for me. I’m not gonna stay down, I’m gonna get up for those guys. That’s my mindset. It’s not a pride thing where I know I got to be a tough guy. I know those guys are depending on me, so I’m gonna get up for them and I’m gonna keep fighting for them, because they’re gonna see me get up and they’re gonna keep fighting. It’s like when JP went out there and he had my back… we had backup linemen in and they kept fighting each and every down.”

Thank you, Nick. All sizes in-stock:
