Or better on the road, if you’d rather look at it that way.

Over at r/Eagles, one redditor put together an Excel spreadsheet showing all NFL teams’ home and away records over the past ten years, and found out that the Eagles are the only NFL team whose win percentage is better on the road. Interestingly, no NFC East team really has a big home field advantage, as the Eagles are right below the Giants who are in turn right below the Redskins. The Cowboys fare a little better, with a +4.4% win percentage differential at home. So at first glance, it looks like the Linc isn’t exactly a conducive environment to a home win. But maybe we should look at it another way.

What if the Eagles are just, over time, consistent. Their away win percentage is only 0.9% better than their home percentage, and the records (44-36, 45-34-1) are nearly identical. But then again, consistency doesn’t usually translate to long stretches of home losses. Also, the Eagles home win percentage over this stretch was 55% — nowhere near the top of course, but I think we’d all rather be 55% at home and 57% on the road vs. 33.8% at home and 28% away like the Raiders. And the Arizona Cardinals, who have the second best differential, have a lower overall win percentage than the Eagles by a eleven and a half percentage points. The Linc might not be a harrowing place for opposing teams to visit, but I’ll take it.
