Alpha House, an Amazon original political comedy, features among its non-John Goodman cast Philadelphia’s own Clark Johnson. Johnson plays a Republican Senator from the state of Pennsylvania that could use some brushing up on his baseball. While (presumably) one of his staffers watches Ed Rendell talk on what resembles Postgame Live (not exactly far-fetched…) and says, “It’s 2014 and the Phillies are still building a team like it’s 1994, paying for RBIs and Saves instead of on-base percentage,” Johnson is seen taking notes… something Ruben Amaro could perhaps do after watching this fictional streaming character state the obvious. EVERYONE EXCEPT RUBEN KNOWS WHAT’S WRONG.
