Eliot Shorr-Parks, NJ.com:

According to a person familiar with the situation, but who requested anonymity, the St. Louis Rams have interest in Foles should the Eagles decide to trade him this offseason.

Foles’ possible availability was a topic of conversation among coaches and scouts last week at the Senior Bowl, with the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans also mentioned as teams that would have interest if Foles hit the market.

OH MY GOD SAL PAL’S RAMS SCENARIO IS PLAYING OUT, ISN’T IT? A couple of weeks ago, one strand of shit that Sal Pal hurled at the wall was that the Rams were one of four teams drafting ahead of the Eagles in need of a quarterback. He hypothesized that they might be the only one of those teams that Marcus Mariota would go to willingly (big-time speculation), meaning that the Eagles would have to somehow get ahead of them and then figure out how to steal the Bucs’ pick. [With me? Probably not? That’s cool– following Sal Pal logic is like chasing a bean down a drain.] But this… this could be one way: Trade Foles to the Rams, get their pick– now you have the number 10 pick, which you can use as an asset to move up and draft Mariota. Simple.

Of course, there will be A BILLION rumors and reports between now and April, so this is just one plausible scenario, which would make Sal look like a genius because everyone would forget the other 10 he presented. Dammit!

Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation offers his take:

While Foles trade rumors may be heating up, however, it still doesn’t seem likely there will be much of a worthwhile market for him. Whatever potential he showed in 2013 may be tainted by the fact he led the NFL in turnovers in 2014 before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. If the Eagles trade Foles, they would be selling low. Not to mention they would be selling the only proven quarterback option under contract on their roster.
