Ruben Amaro has, presumably, been trying and failing to trade Cole Hamels all off-season. And now that it looks like that ship has sailed, Ruben’s totally cool with Cole starting on opening day. Unless his phone rings in 5 … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1 … nope. Still totally cool with it.

“I would expect him to be in spring training with the Phillies,” Amaro told Jayson Stark. “And I would expect him to be our Opening Day starter.”

Then again, anything could happen.

“I don’t know that for sure,” Amaro continued. “That could change in a phone call or two, just like with anyone else.”

And then Ruben hurriedly rebooted his Blackberry and checked to make sure it wasn’t on silent or airplane mode or anything, just so he didn’t miss another chance to not trade Cole Hamels.

  2. Hey guys, for more endless nonstop Marcus Mariota/Nick Foles talk make sure you’re listening to Johnny Marks and Sean Brace, followed by your friend and mine Mr. Mike Missanelli on Philly’s #1 sports talk radio station 97.5 the fanatic!

    1. I will, I listen to 97.5 everyday. Even though John and Sean blow, Mayes is great but needs baldy or Bruno, mike miss is solid. I don’t mind mike and Ike. Can’t stand the morning show and can’t stand that new guy that they have on w Bruno.

  3. J: Hey Mr. Scott (wipes mouth of cum), what do you want me to post next?
K: Did anything happen with #RadioWars or my darling K@cie?
    J: No
    K: OK, check
    J: Nothing.
    K: ESPN?
J: Umm…Stark talked to Amaro. Yesterday afternoon.
    K: Whatever just do it.

  4. Has there ever been a worse GM in sports than Ruben Amaro Jr? This guy couldn’t manage a little league team.

    1. Every time you post you shout BEISBOL. Beisbol is the Spanish translation for baseball. Philippe Aumont is French, as in French Canadian. He is not Latino. The French translation for baseball is baseball. Got it?
