From Bloomberg:

Comcast Corp. is planning to walk away from its proposed takeover of Time Warner Cable Inc., people with knowledge of the matter said, after regulators planned to oppose the deal.

Comcast is planning to make a final decision on its plans Thursday, and a announcement on the deal’s fate may come as soon as Friday, said one of the people, who asked not to be named discussing private information.

Yeah keep chattin away from your work truck while sipping hot coffee in the WAWA parking lot. I can promise you that any asshole who was against the merger clearly has no clue how good that would have been for the customer and the city of philadelphia. Assume you didn’t hear about government regulated pricing? Nah didn’t think so. Keep working hard in the rain. Enjoy paying your cable bills. Thanks

How was the merger going to be a good thing? We want more variety of options not 1 option of internet in this area. The ONLY good thing to come would be Google Fiber.

Are you mocking him because he works outside? Have you ever did outside labor in your life? You go sit on a roof on a rainy/snowy/windy/hot day and try to do your job.

I have worked at Comcast, they under pay/over work their employees but use Free cable as a benefit to keep their employees happy. The only person that would of benefited was CEO of TWC , as far as us the consumers nothing gained/nothing lost.

Comcast. A Fortune 30 company headquartered in Phila. A communication driven company none-the-less. They employ how many people locally? They’re creating how many more jobs with the new building? Comcast totally hasn’t had anything to do with young professionals living in the city and increased property values. Yeah, evil empire. Darth Sidious level. So evil. Can’t wait for the all the idiots who don’t know what net neutrality actually is to start commenting.

You guys are idiots. The reason Comcast sucks is because the local gov’ts give them a monopoly on the area.

The new FCC rulings will make it worse.

Regulated prices have never been good for the consumer.
