Multiple sources have confirmed to me that Nick Kayal is leaving 97.5 The Fanatic for a 3-6 time slot with Sirius Bleacher Report Radio. This comes just a day after Sean Brace and Jon and Sean Show producer, Steve Vassolotti, who very much appreciated his Jim Ross treatment (GOOD GOD THE HUMANITY!), were let go by 97.5. Kayal’s departure appears to be voluntary, and probably for a good reason– his rather impressive national and college sports knowledge may be better suited for a national audience anyway. Tonight will be Kayal’s last night. My guess is that we can expect an announcement and further explanation at some point during the show.

Hearing that some combination of Joe DeCamara, Matt Lombardo and Joe Staszak will replace Kayal, at least on a temporary basis. Other details are vague. My coconut telegraph has mysteriously ceased normal transmission over the past 24 hours. Something is afoot, I says! I was scheduled to be on Kayal’s show at 11 p.m. last night for our semi-regular Crossing The Streams segment, but the call-in was politely canceled following RADIO WARS reporting yesterday. Chaos abounds. The notes are all out of sync this week! WHAT HAVE WE HERE:
