No one knows what is going on in Sam Hinkie’s head. He could be just sitting in his office right now, excited, waiting for his chance to take Kristaps Porzingis at number three. We just don’t know. But the general consensus amongst mock drafts is that the Sixers will end up taking D’Angelo Russell in the draft. If he’s gone, or even if he’s still there, another option for the Sixers could be Emmanuel Mudiay.

According to Liberty Ballers, “Sam Hinkie is intrigued by former Guangdong Southern Tigers point guard Emmanuel Mudiay.” Mudiay will have dinner with Sixers representatives on June 15, and have a workout with the team the next day.

Pretty much the only thing impossible on draft night is that Hinkie can’t decide who he wants, runs out of time, and forfeits the pick. Other than that, it’s all possible, including taking Mudiay over Russell.
