The insider-iest of all NFL Insiders, Adam Schefter, called into the 97.5 Morning Show this morning to talk SpyGate, the Eagles, and to put an unholy hex on the team. Admitting he was probably jinxing the Eagles if anything – and if anyone uses black magic in the NFL, it’s him, how do you think he breaks all those stories? – Schefter told Anthony Gargano what his Super Bowl picks were:

“When ESPN asked me to turn in my Super Bowl picks last week, I picked Philadelphia to face Baltimore, and I believe I picked the Eagles to win the Super Bowl.”

So the Eagles will either make Adam Schefter look like a genius, or he will be public enemy number one at Lincoln Financial Field. Either way works. Schefter continued, talking a little more in-depth about the birds and their new savior:

“At the owner’s meetings … [I was told] coming out of college … over the past 15 years, the only quarterback the Eagles had rated higher coming out of college was Peyton Manning … Chip Kelly is rolling the dice, in the same way Sean Payton rolled the dice on Drew Brees … Chip Kelly didn’t believe in Nick Foles as a long-term viable solution.

The upside with Bradford is there … and if the offensive line can keep him healthy, Bradford has a chance to flourish in the same way that Drew Brees once flourished.”

So not only has Schefter now jinxed the Eagles’ Super Bowl chances, I’m pretty sure he just laid the curse of all curses on Sam Bradford’s knees.

Kyle: Eagles-Ravens? I’d go Ravens, based solely on Sam Bradford’s apparent fear of Terrell Suggs.

UPDATE: Schefter picked New Orleans last year
