QB
1) Eli Manning
$7100
Expect Eli to bounce back from his zero TD performance againt Dallas with a nice home matchup against Atlanta’s weak pass defense coming off a short week.
2) Tyrod Taylor
$6200
New England’s secondary, already starting Patrick Chung , lost Revis and replaced him with Bradley Fletcher. It showed in week one against Pittsburgh. Look for Taylor to have a big game playing catchup with his arm and his legs.
3) Jameis Winston
$5600
Coming off his debacle of a debut, New Orleans defense has to look like a bushel of Alaskan King Crab legs to Jameis. START EVERY QB against New Orleans horrific defense.
RB
1) Tevin Coleman
$4500
In his NFL debut, had a whopping 20 carries and ran well against a good Eagles run defense. Expect Atlanta to lean more on the run on the road, outdoors, where Matt Ryan is half the passer he is in the dome.
2) Shane Vereen
$4200
Atlanta’s run defense showed up big last Monday night against the Eagles, but also gave up 14 receptions to Eagles RB’s. Look for Vereen to haul in 5+ passes which makes him a nice weekly ppr play with a good price tag.
3) David Johnson
$4200
Big time longshot, but it shouldnt be long before Bruce Arians gets tired of Chris Johnson missing holes and running into his offensive lineman. David Johnson could be a big time steal.
WR
1) Jarvis Landry
$5900
A no-brainer pick at this price, Landry will continue to be a ppr steed as Tannehill’ s go to receiver.
2) Mike Wallace
$5400
Lions pass defense got abused in San Diego, with 35 completions from Philip Rivers. 15 of those receptions went to Keenan Allen, their #1 WR Wallace. Minnesota’s #1 receiver had only 6 catches last week. But sooner than later Wallace is gonna break off a long one.
3) Cole Beasley
$3300
Beasley will be Romo’s new favorite option with defenses now focused on Witten and Terrance Williams. Should be a nice 6-8 catch day.
TE
1) Austin Seferian-Jenkins
$4100
Some TE named Darren Fells had 82 yards and a touchdown last week against New Orleans. New Orleans defense is really bad, play ASJ.
2) Jordan Cameron
$4000
Very athletic, WR-type TE playing with the first good QB in his career. Tannehill looked for him 7 times in their first game together, which should climb this week against an average Jaguars defense.
3) Vernon Davis
$3000
Pittsburgh gave up 4 touchdowns to the TE position last week, so this is no more than an upside option with a great pricetag. Davis led the 49ers in receiving Week 1, so look for more of the same.
DEF
1) Ravens
$2900
Ravens shut down Peyton Manning last week, so even without Suggs, they should have no issue with Oakland, which looks to be another offensive mess.
2) Titans
$3000
Johnny Manziel has been a bad decision making, outmatched turnover machine in his first 2 pro seasons. Doesn’t look to change this week.
3) Eagles
$2700
Romo will be headed back to his happy feet days without DEZ and Demarco to bail him out.
And just so we’re all open and honest here, each week we’ll post Neighbor Mike’s team from the previous week. [Last week he played a full-week league, starting with Thursday night games. Typically the picks start with Sunday games.] Here’s his final Week 1 lineup:
That LaMar Miller pick doomed us all. I followed his advice and it cost me big time. The Dolphins were in the red zone at one point and did literally everything they could to prevent giving Miller the ball– pass, end-around (end-around!), QB keeper. I wasn’t happy about it, and I let NM know:
There wasn’t time.
Otherwise, though, picks were mostly on-point. I mean, who picked Marcus Mariota? Neighbor Mike did. That’s who.

Neighbor Mike needs to get knocked out
Value picks are great and all, but why can’t Neighbor Mike hand out some “Must Start ‘Em” picks? Also, is there a Crossing Broad league again this week?
Because the highest paid guys go without saying. But you can’t fill your team with them. To win at Draft Kings, you need to find high-scoring guys for decent prices– so I feel this adds more value than just taking the chalk.
No CB league this week, but that $1 million league is a good deal if you haven’t played before. If you have, I’d recommend the smaller public leagues for a more winnable endeavor.
If you need to come to Crossing Broad for fantasy football tips, then you’re already doomed. Taking advice from these schmucks is like asking Dr. Kevorkian his tips on living longer!
Agree. You should be using my crappy picks as a contrarian tool only.
I don’t mind these posts, they’re helpful if you know how to use them. For instance – would not take Jameis Winston against any defense in the league.
BTW I’m sure neighbor Mike enjoyed Kyle’s beyond annoying Lamar Miller text.
Yeah jeezis god I only put that pick in to see if Kyle was paying attention. I guess we know the answer.
Why should I listen to this cuckold’s tips when he proved during week 1 that his “analysis” is absolute and complete garbage. Mike is a cuck and undeserving of another post on CB, it’s awful
