Now we’ve gone and done it. What started out as a fun RADIOWRITERWARS saga has turned into a full on Twitter hissy fit.

Yesterday, a day after Jimmy Kempski and Andrew Porter got into it about plagiarism on the Mike and Ike Show a day earlier, Josh Innes spent 20 minutes (according to Kempski) talking about the whole thing. This should surprise no one.

After the show, Innes and Kempski had a back-and-forth on Twitter that reads like “You suck,” “No, you suck.” I’ve transcribed it below, because that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

Kempski: Hope Josh Innes’ 20 minute segment about some writer (me), which is clearly must-listen radio, helps him narrow that ratings gap.

Innes: Your cunty complaints about “plagiarism” are amusing. “You stole my quote from an interview I stole the quote from!”

Kempski: Your whole career is amusing. You’re a wannabe sports version of Howard Stern, but, you know, awful.

Innes: You plagiarize your trash talk from comment sections. Hack!

Kempski: Apologies. Wrong for me to say you’re a Stern plagiarist, since you’re not talented, funny, or interesting at all.

Innes: Well at least we got that straight … I just finished your story for tomorrow …

Kempski: I’d finish your show for you tomorrow as well, but nobody can make people dumber for 4 hours every day like you.

Innes: BURN!!!

Kempski: I’m Jimmy. I’m 38, and I fight with people on Twitter about the dumbest shit.

Without even touching on how beautifully poetic it is that Innes decided to mock Kempski with a copyrighted image, this isn’t at all surprising. Innes’ show – as many have complained before – is often light on the sports, so why wouldn’t he spend 20 minutes bringing up something that happened on another show? But why didn’t he bring it up on his show on Tuesday? Probably because he hadn’t read about it here yet.

As for Kempski. He doesn’t want to, but he’s gonna have to let this go if he wants to stop getting into shouting matches on the radio, Twitter, the street, amongst other stick figures, etc.
