Steve Mason Left the Team for a Family Issue and Tim Panaccio Is Still Lazy
Some Flyers news: They lost 7-1 on Saturday, so they’re picking up right where they left off last year.
Meanwhile, Steve Mason, who was pulled after giving up four goals on eight shots during the loss, has left to team for a personal issue. Ron Hextall told the media:
“With regards to Mase, we just ask that you respect his privacy. It’s a sensitive issue and I think it’s a fair request.”
I’m sure that means Randy Miller will go snooping around like a creepster.
Tim Panaccio, who is truly terrible at his job, mostly just because he’s lazy, sent out this misleading Tweet to kick off a series of context-devoid missives:
Neuvirth out
— Tim Panaccio (@tpanotchRET) October 12, 2015
Thanks, Tim. You suck
Presumably out as in out on the ice at practice, because he’s starting tonight. At said practice, the Flyers used Aramark employee Justin Musciano – who works at both Lincoln Financial Field and the Wells Fargo – to play goalie. He did the same in a pinch back in 2012. The Phantoms goalie – whomever that is – should be in town to back up Neuvieritrirititith tonight.
Finally, Ed Snider, who last year battled an unspecified cancer, won’t be able to attend the opener tonight because he just underwent medical therapy in California, but the Flyers said “he’s doing great.”
