Bills' All-Time Leading Rusher Tells LeSean McCoy to Cool it on all the Chip Kelly Stuff
Thurman Thomas is the Bills’ all-time leader in rushing attempts, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns. He won 4 consecutive AFC championships. He is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And he thinks LeSean McCoy should just chill out a bit.
While Herm Edwards nearly had a heart attack talking about LeSean, Thomas calmly suggested he stop being so damn emotional:
“Obviously, going back to where he grew up [Ed. note: Ehhhh … sure] is going to be a big, emotional day for him. But I told him today, I said, ‘You know what? The last time that the Bills and former players were emotionally high, was the New England game [Buffalo lost 40-32], and we can’t allow ourselves to do that. You can’t allow yourself to get caught up into what’s going to be happening with the game. Especially with the crowd, and Chip, and all that. You have to go out and keep doing what you’ve been doing the past four or five weeks and you’ll be fine.”
McCoy has now been warned against being McCoy by a Hall of Fame running back and a Hall of Fame TV yeller. So that’s two for, two against.
