I Am Not Even Sure How to Process FOX Good Day’s Recreation of “Grease”

FOX’s live rendition of Grease airs next week because NBC discovered three years ago that live prime time musicals are somewhat DVR-proof and lead to #engagement, which means ratings. This morning, FOX Good Day’s crew recreated one of the film’s famous scenes, and I have literally no idea how to digest it. Having interacted with most of the principles here in one way or another – all seemingly decent, normal humans – I’m finding it difficult to reconcile those experiences with, say, dance moves like this:
The whole thing is shockingly good and disturbing at the same time. The girls, however, are a little bit too good in their roles, and now I feel like I need a timeout.
