Loop Jake Voracek’s OT Winner for the Next Week

The Flyers are off for the next six days for the All-Star break, so this should keep you warm for a little while. Just violent, that snipe. Violent.

The Flyers are frustratingly adequate this year– good enough to watch, bad enough to disappoint us sometime in April.

    1. That was my pet name for victim #13…Hello Mr. 0.0305, I know you’re hiding that special ingredient, I’ll get it out of you.

  1. “The Flyers are frustratingly adequate this year– good enough to watch, bad enough to disappoint us sometime in April.”

Whereas Villanova only waits until March.

    1. I must have missed the connection between villanova and the flyers. The flyers are not making the playoffs. That should be obvious if you’re a fan.

here’s your missed connection, or slowpoke’s notes:
both teams can be fun to watch but will ultimately let you down when it matters most.

        you’re welcome.

        1. Villanova will spend the whole season in the top 10, while the Flyers are in the bottom third of the NHL. Try again.

  2. Yo Kyle, ‘Disappoint us in April’? Maybe you will be but I won’t be no matter what happens. Vinny, gone. Luke, gone. Ghost, here baby. Hakstol, learning the pro game. More exits at trade deadline, hope so. Why is it OK for Sixers to take as long as they want to turn their team around and make the playoffs but Flyers can’t? Your just as bad as MM.

    1. really, you are trying to compare the 76ers to the Flyers? First of all, it’s NOT ok that the sixers are doing what they are doing, in fact, this was shoved down our throats and what choice do we have now but to see it through. For me, they have become irrelevant. I don’t watch them and I don’t spend money going to their games. However, the Flyers have had talented players for years and have disappointed many times (other than that run a few years back). It’s time for the excuses to stop and for the team to play better. They are barely over 500 for chrissakes. G was supposed to be a top player/scorer in the league and he has been too inconsistent. The team basically has one frickin line and 9 other guys.

      1. You’re crazy. Do you not think G is a top player in this league? One top player can’t carry a team; any team. Too inconsistent? Over what time frame are you talking? This season? His whole career? What the f does that matter anyway? Do you not think the Flyers are playing better this year than last year as a team? Yes, they have some dead weight and guys that won’t be here in the future but where’s your patience? Do you want them to go sign somebody at the deadline just to make the playoffs because I don’t. That’s what got them into the cap trouble they’re trying to get out of now. You sound like Ed.

      2. 1st, stop calling him “G”.
        2nd, Vorachek is inconsistent.
3rd, Giroux because the 1st player to reach 400 points since the start of 2010-2011 season this year. Doesn’t quite fit the definition of inconsistent.
4th, They do have only 1 line (Giroux, Vorachek & Simmonds).
5th, It’s the first year of a new coach & GM, so barely over .500 and several points out of playoff spot is okay.
6th, They have finally got away from the goon style of play and there’s actually hope with a lot of young talent coming over the next few years.
7th, no more ass play for you.

      3. You criticize Giroux then admit they only have one line. If he had 2 wingers instead of 1 and a 2nd line for the other team to worry about, there would be no problem.
